TOGETSUTEI

A once-in-a-lifetime experience

Togetsutei is a traditional Japanese hot-spring inn, established in 1897 (Meiji era 30th) and located right next to Togetsukyo Bridge, the landmark of Arashiyama in Kyoto. Guests can enjoy a relaxing stay in the tranquil setting of a traditional Japanese room whilst admiring the picturesque scenery that surrounds the hotel.
Within walking distance are the Bamboo Grove Trail, the World Heritage Site of Tenryuji Temple, and the Monkey Park, whilst you can also enjoy a scenic ride on the trolley-train or an exciting Hozugawa River cruise. In summer, visitors can watch the specially trained cormorant birds in action as they hunt for sweet-fish in the river.
Arashiyama is a place that still retains much of the nostalgic atmosphere of old Kyoto, which you can fully enjoy during your stay. Kyoto's unique culture of gastronomy, including Kyoto-style kaiseki cuisine, and its traditional hospitality will serve to make your trip a truly memorable one.
